Crash Peruvian Naval Aviation Mi-8

On 14 September 2021, Mi-8Tv with serial HT-452 (construction number 10457) of the Fuerza Aviación Naval del Perú (FANP, Peruvian Naval Aviation) crashed 30 miles north of Pucallpa.

The crash was caused by an engine failure after bird ingestion. Everyone on board escaped uninjured. Operating unit Escuadrón Aeronaval de la Amazonía may still have Mi-8Tv HT-451 on strength, but that has not been seen operational for a while and used to be based at Lima. If not, this would mean the end of naval Mi-8 operations in Peru.
