Delivery Croatian Air Force Black Hawks
On 3 February 2022, a US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III delivered two Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to Zagreb airport (Croatia) for use with the Hrvatske Zračne Snage (Croatian Air Force).
The two Black Hawks, in US Army standard configuration, have Croatian Air Force markings and serials 230 and 231. The new helicopters were donated by the US Government and it was reported that Croatia will buy two additional UH-60Ms. It is planned that the two delivered helicopters will reach Full Operational Capability (FOC) in late 2022. A delivery date for the two additional helicpters has not been revealed. Croatian pilots and maintenance personnel were trained on the Black Hawk in Minnesota (USA).
The Croatian Minister of Defence, Mario Banožić, said, “It is my pleasure to attend the arrival of the first two UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, which are the donation of our strategic partner, the United States of America. The Croatian Armed Forces will, with these powerful helicopters, acquire new capabilities and increase our level of interoperability.
