Final FAE H145Ms to be delivered
Although all six Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana (FAE, Ecuador Air Force) H145Ms were already officially handed over, the final three arrived at Munich airport (Germany) on 9 December 2021. Upon arrival, the helicopters still carried their German test registrations.
After landing these were removed and the helicopters are now waiting for transport to Ecuador. The last triplet of FAE H145Ms are: FAE-1254 (D-HADP, c/n 20356), FAE-1255 (D-HADE, c/n 20357) and FAE-1256 (D-HBKG, c/n 20358).
Six H145Ms were ordered on 27 November 2019 and have been seen test flying and training FAE crews since November 2020.
The first three were delivered this Spring and taken on charge on 18 May 2021. The next three were active at Augsburg and Ingolstadt for crew training and will now follow the others to Ecuador. The operating unit is Escuadrón 2211 Cobras of Ala 22 based at Guayaquil.
See the Scramble Magazine news items on the formal handover on 30 April 2021.
