RAAF MQ 4C Triton 640First MQ-4C Triton delivered to the RAAF

On 15 June 2024, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) received its first Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). The delivery flight of A57-001 could be seen on ADSB Exchange as it was on its way to RAAF Base Tindal (NT) where it will be operated by 9 Squadron.

As Scramble wrote earlier, 9 Squadron (MQ-4C Triton), 10 Squadron (MC-55A Peregrine) and 11 Squadron (P-8A Poseidon) will together form 92 Wing. This unit will give a tremendous boost to Australia's Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.

It is foreseen that by late 2025 all six Tritons will have been delivered.
