In late July 2024, aircraft enthousiasts observed for the first time several F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 23rd Tactical Fighter Group (TFG) flying with the training variant of the AGM-88B HARM missile, both with and without steering fins. The AGM-88B represents the latest delivery of this weapon to the Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF).

The 23rd TFG operates the upgraded F-16A/B Block 72V variant, part of the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing, based at Chiayi Air Base.

The AGM-88 HARM (High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile) is a tactical air-to-surface missile designed to target electronic transmissions from surface-to-air radar systems.

Under the Biden administration, the US government approved the sale of 100 AGM-88B HARM missiles, including several training variants, to Taiwan in March 2023. Previously, in June 2017, the Trump administration approved the first batch of AGM-88B HARM missiles.
