First two 280FXs for Peru

The Fuerza Aerea del Perú (FAP, Peruvian Air Force) received its first two Enstrom 280FX on 5 February 2021.

The duo arrived by container with Grupo 3 at first instance for acceptance and test flying at Lima/Callao (Peru). After that, they are expected to be officially inaugurated by Grupo 51 at Pisco/Base Aerea Capitan Renan Elias Oliveira (Peru). That event will mark te start of the replacement of the Schweizer 300C at Escuadrón Aéreo de Helicopteros 510 at Pisco.

Six more 280FXs are due, two this year and the remainder in 2022. Serial details are 671 (construction number 2168, temporary registration N881QX) and 672 (c/n 2169, temporary registration N881GE). They are resplendent in the familiar white and orange colour scheme used by all training aircraft of FAP.
