Fuerza Aérea del Perú Hercules at 50

Recently, Fuerza Aérea del Perú (FAP, Peruvian Air Force) L-100-20 with serial 382 was adorned with special markings celebrating fifty years of the type in FAP service.

This particular aircraft has been upgraded with an integrated glass cockpit, a suite provided by Astronautics Corporation of America. This thorough modernisation ended February 2020.

Currently a second Hercules, L-100 with serial 397, is undergoing that upgrade as well.

The Peruvian Air Force Hercules fleet consists of three L-100-20s and is assigned to the Grupo Aéreo de Transporte N°8, Escuadrón de Transporte 842, based at Lima-Callao/Intl Jorge Chavez, BA Jorge Chavez (Peru).
