Germany’s third C-130J delivered

The third Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 for the Luftwaffe (German Air Force, GAF) 55+03 (msn 5944) was delivered on 24 August 2022.

Flying as ‘Reach195’ the Super Hercules headed for Evreux-Fauville in France, where the new squadron has its operational headquarters. In the end it will be composed of four French Hercules (two C-130J-30s and two KC-130J-30s), and six German (three C-130J-30s and three KC-130J-30s). They will be operated by the two countries, for the missions that each nation needs to perform.

The squadron is called BATS, which stands for Binational Air Transport C-130J Squadron.
