Goshawk mid-air collision over Texas
Two pilots have miraculously survived after their Navy T-45 Goshawk crashed at a Texas ranch in Ricardo, in the area of Highway 77 and West FM 772, on 17 May 2021. The pilots are conscious and are said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash, which happened just before 11:00hrs local time, was a mid-air collision with another VT-22 Golden Eagles Goshawk. That one received damage but managed to land safely back at NAS Kingsville (TX), home of Training Air Wing 2 (TAW-2).
Next to VT-22 they have also VT-21 Red Hawks under their command, both operating the T-45C.
