Grumman Wildcat overturns

On 1 June 2022, Grumman FM-2 Wildcat N909WJ overturned during an emergency landing in a field near Bad Krozingen, Germany which is close to the airfield of Bremgarten.

In the accident the pilot was seriously injured. He got stuck in the cockpit of the vintage fighter and had to be freed by local firemen. He was then transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital.

The aircraft had recently been imported in Germany and had made her first flight after restoration on 20 May 2022.
