Historic Huey almost ready for take-off

For some time former Heeresflieger (German Army Aviation) Bell UH-1D 72+94 (c/n 8414) has been a resident of Maastricht Aachen Airport, the Netherlands.

The helicopter was acquired by the Kuppens family who are living in Belgium. They plan to use the Huey in airshow displays.

It was last seen flying in October 2019, but is now almost ready for its first flight in the hands of its new owners. In April 2022, the chopper received a Belgian registration, OO-DON.
