Historic UC-40A Electra Jr crashes near Chino
On 15 June 2024, 1939 built Lockheed UC-40A (L-12) Electra Jr with registration N93R (former military serial number 38-540, 1257) crashed shortly after take-off from Chino Airport in Southern California, sadly killing the two people onboard.
Having obtained the UC-40A in 1998, the Yanks Air Museum, based at Chino (CA), completed its restoration during 2006. At this moment, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the crash.
