Huey IIs delivered to AFBiH

On 4 December 2021, four Bell UH-1H-II Super Huey helicopters were delivered to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH).

The new helicopters, serials A-2628 to A-2631, will complement the current UH-1H Hueys operated by 2 Helicopter Squadron at Banja Luka. In June this year, Bosnian pilots completed their training on the UH-1H-II with the Bell Training Academy in Fort Worth (TX).

The Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract for the procurement, valued at USD 38 million, was signed in Sarajevo on 13 December 2019. According to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Bosnia and Herzegovina paid USD 4,4 million, the remaining amount was paid by the US government.
