The Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU, Indonesian air force) will get two A400Ms, with an option for four more. This is part of a plan dating back to 2018 to reinforce the military transport capabilities. Notably for disaster relief mission around the vast realm.
Six, increased from five, C-130J and two A400M were on the list of prospected acquisitions. At first, the A400s were to be operated by a non-military entity and leased to the armed forces when and if so required.
Now, some years of negotiating and getting the finances in order, the A400s will be on TNI-AU charge after all so it seems.
