Indonesia to assemble Anka drones
In February 2023, the Indonesian Ministry of Defence (MoD) closed a deal with Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) for twelve Anka strategic Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for use with the Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU, Indonesian Air Force).
On 1 August 2023 it was disclosed that the value of this deal is USD 300 million and also includes training and simulators. More importantly, through technology transfer six of these drones will be assembled in Indonesia by PT Dirgantara.
Deliveries of the six others are expected to commence this year.
