"Just a nice Picture...!"

Will this be the last one? During the recent days, McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle with serial number 81-0029 was seen flying sorties from Kadena Air Base (Japan).

After more than four decades of service with the 18th Wing, the last ZZ coded F-15C Eagle is officially prepared to depart from Kadena back to the Continental United States.

This will signify the end of an era for USAF's iconic legacy F-15 fleet in the Indo-Pacific. On 30 October 2022, Scramble Magazine wrote about USAF's distinctive ZZ coded legacy Eagles to disappear. At this moment it is unknown to Scramble how many flyable legacy Eagles are still at Kadena.
