"Just a nice Picture...!"
Seen transiting Lajes Air Base on the Azores whilst heading back to the Continental United States (CONUS), Air Force Reserve Command's A-10C 79-0117/KC from the 303rd Fighter Squadron, 442nd Fighter Wing leads this group of Thunderbolt IIs.
The aircraft were recently deployed to Afghanistan. Some 303rd Fighter Squadron A-10Cs were attached to the lead unit from Idaho Air National Guard's 190th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron.
This great head-on photo was made by João Toste on 8 November 2020. Three out of six Thunderbolts taxi for departure to runway 33 for their flight to CONUS.
