"Just a nice Picture...!"

On 27 January 2021, US Air Force teams Barksdale and Travis hooked up over the US Central Command area of responsibility.

Depicted are 2nd Bomb Wing flagship B-52H Stratofortress with serial 60-0002/LA originating from Barksdale AFB (LA). The strategic bomber is being refueled by a KC-10A Extender of the 60th Air Mobility Wing with serial 83-0076. The tanker is normally based at Travis AFB (CA).

Sending again strategic message to Iran, the Stratofortress flew a long-range direct sortie from Barksdale to the Middle East. This was the third of such flights this year and the first under the new Biden administration. More flights are expected.
