"Just a nice Picture...!"

The first KC-46A Pegasus Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) is seen returning to its birthing grounds, Boeing's Everett/Snohomish County-Paine Field (WA) after its first flight on 8 February 2021.

The first Pegasus, destined for the land of the rising sun, serial 14-3611 (construction number 66585/1207) was rolled out out of Boeing’s paint shop facility on 17 September 2020. The aircraft received a Boeing test registration N6018N, that temporarely replaced to JASDF serial (see Scramble News 10 January 2021, "Just a Nice Picture...!")

Boeing received an order from the JASDF for one KC-46A in December 2017, and their government took an option for the second one in December 2018.
