An immaculate photo from Rob van Disseldorp as he photographed A-10C Thunderbolt II 79-0088/MD of the 104th FS departing Hill AFB (UT) and heading back home to Maryland on 19 March 2021.
No less than eleven A-10Cs from the 104th FS, Maryland ANG, participated in this year’s first edition of WSEP-West (Weapons System Evaluation Programme) also known as Combat Hammer.
The exercise took place from 9-18 March over the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR).
During Combat Hammer, airmen evaluate every aspect of air-to-ground weapons employment, from building and loading munitions, to aircraft and pilot performance hitting targets on the UTTR.
The following 104th FS A-10Cs, based at Baltimore/Martin State (MD), were deployed to Hill AFB:
Several other off-base assets also participated in the exercise but the units and airframes of these assets were not announced.
