"Just a nice Picture...!"

Still soldiering on! Seen with a scenic backdrop at Talavera la Real Air Base's tarmac is Ala 23 (23rd Wing) Northrop SF-5M AE.9-14/23-07. The aircraft was present on 23 April 2022 when a small spotters-/press day was held at the air base.

Already in November 2020, the Ejército del Aire (EdA, Spanish Air Force) celebrated 50 years of training fighter pilots on the Northrop F-5.

At this moment, some ten SF-5Ms (out of 19) are operational with Ala 23 at any given time. Also, two SF-5Ms are most of the time to be found, getting maintenanced and receiving overhaul, with Maestranza Aérea de Albacete near the capital of the province of Albacete (Spain).
