"Just a nice Picture...!"

Still sporting the name of her predecessor Major Kristin "Beo" Wolfe on the landing gear hatch, Captain Melanie "Mach" Kluesner completed the Air Combat Command (ACC) Heritage Flight (HF) training certification with HL coded F-35A 15-5200 on 24 February 2024.

On 1 March 2024, "Mach", a pilot of the 421st Fighter Squadron "Black Widows", part of the 388th Fighter Wing at Hill AFB situated near Salt Lake City (UT), became the new certified pilot and commander of USAF's F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team and will also take part in this years ACC HF demonstrations.

USAF's HF programme presents the evolution of USAF air power by flying today's state-of-the-art fighter aircraft in close formation with vintage fighter aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang and F-86 Sabre.
