Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker 63-8041 Crossroads of America/Spirit of Indiana heads a formation of eight 434th Air Refueling Wing aircraft while participating in a recently held "Elephant Walk", at Grissom AFB (IN).

On 7 June 2024, eight KC-135Rs from both the 72nd Air Refueling Squadron, with blue Grissom tail ribbon, and 74th Air Refueling Squadron, with red Grissom tail ribbon, participated in the Elephant Walk before taking off.

Turned eighty this year, USAF Air Force Reserve Command's 434th Air Refueling Wing, also known as the Hoosier Wing, traces its roots back to World War II, when the original 434th Troop Carrier Group was activated in February 1944.
