It is reported that in September 2021 LTG63 will be disbanded and this will also see the end of the Luftwaffe's Transall era.

Germany C 160D 5040 2For the dignified farewell, the past weeks a special "Goodbye Tour" paint was applied on LTG63's C-160D 50+40. The Transall, short for Transporter Allianz, is now adorned with the years, each under a wing 1968 and 2021 and the titles "Weltweit im einsatz", meaning "Deployed all over the world". With the special paint, LTG63 wanted to show the history of the Luftwaffe's C-160D. From the very beginning with the orange Day-glo special paint markings till the white markings of the United Nations deployed C-160s.
