Malaysia might acquire ex Kuwait Hornets
The Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM, Royal Malaysian Air Force) has confirmed its interest in acquiring an unknown number of used F/A-18C and F/A-18D Hornet fighter aircraft from Kuwait.
The Commander of the TUDM, General Tan Sri Ackbal Abdul Samad, said that his party was arranging a meeting with the Commander of the al-Quwwat al-Jawwiya al-Kuwaitiya (KAF, Kuwaiti Air Force) at the Dubai Air Show 2021 at Dubai World Central from 14 to 18 November 2021).
The TUDM operates eight F/A-18D Hornets with 18 Skuadron at Butterworth air base.
