Marshall wins a contract to maintain Norwegian and Danish C-130Js

Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (MADG) has won a seven-year contract to maintain four Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) and four Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) Super Hercules' as announced on 5 January 2021.

Both the Norwegian Defence Logistic Organisation (NDLO) and the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) awarded the Cambridge based company to carry out a range of maintenance activities, including C, C2 and D checks.

The Scandinavian countries continue their relationship with MADG. This is not a surprise as Norway and Denmark respectively work with MADG since the mid-seventies and 1986 in maintaining their once C-130H fleet.

RDAF C-130J-30: B-536, B-537, B-538 and B-583, all assigned to Esk 721 at Ålborg air base (Denmark)
RNoAF C-130J-30: 5601, 5607, 5629, and 5699 all assigned to 335 skv at Oslo/Gardermoen (Norway)

Last year, Marshalls secured a ten-year multi-million dollar contract to provide likewise maintenance to the US Marine Corp’s fleet of 66 KC-130J.

The great thing for us as aviation enthusiasts is that the RDAF, RNoAF and USMC fleet of Super Hercules' as well as these from fourteen other nations and/or services that use MADG will pass Cambridge! Many of these nations use also older models of the mighty Hercules. Scramble Magazine is looking forward to arrival and departure information as well as nice images!
