On 27 May 2022, the fifth and sixth series production Sukhoi Su-57 fighter aircraft were photographed by Russian spotters during their refuelling stop at Novosibirsk-Tolmachevo airport.
On 21 January 2022, Scramble Magazine reported on their production status at the KnAAZ plant (Komsomolsky-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Y.A.Gagarin, a branch of PJSC Company Sukhoi).
At the Army-2019 International Military-Technical Forum held in June 2019, the Russian MoD and Sukhoi Company PJSC signed a contract for the supply of 76 fifth-generation Su-57 fighters to the Armed Forces, including the first two that were contracted in 2018, with final deliveries by 2027. The current war in Ukraine will certainly affect the proposed plans.
According to the information known, the KnAAZ plant plans to hand over four Su-57s in 2022. While the final destination is still not confirmed, the following two-ship Su-57s with Bort Number 53 Red (RF-81777) and Bort Number 54 Red (RF-81778) were sighted at Tolmachevo airport near Novosibirsk.
