More Su-30SM fighters for Kazakhstan
At the Army-2021 forum, the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation (FSVTC), Dmitry Shugaev, announced that Russia will provide four more Sukhoi Su-30SM fighter aircraft to Kazakhstan.
This latest batch should be delivered by the end of 2022 and will be added to the 21 Su-30SMs that have already been delivered to the Kazakhstan Air Defence Force.
Unfortunately, one Su-30SM was lost on 16 April 2021. The identity of this Sukhoi is still unknown. If you have details on this crash, please send it to
Shugaev also mentioned that Russia agreed on contracts worth more than USD 2 billion, including export contracts with China regarding maritime hardware, with India on infantry equipment and further deals with Armenia, Uzbekistan, Myanmar and Belarus.
In total, Rosoboronexport held more than 70 negotiations with foreign partners.
