Mystery Dash 8
On 24 April 2023, an unknown DHC-8-300 visited Curaçao International Airport, also known as Hato airport.
The aircraft was marked as 17-0314 and is known that it is operated by the USAF, most probably as part of the Big Safari programme. The identity of the Dash 8 is not known yet, but it seems that it was previously operated by the US Army as 50201 (15-00201). The Dash 8 is equipped with various surveillance systems and communications equipment.
The aircraft flew on 18 April from Tampa (FL) to Guatemala City (Guatemala). Two days later it flew from Guatemala to Tocumen (Panama) and on 24 April from Tocumen to Hato using two different hex-codes on these three flights.
