New helicopters for Kyrgyzstan SAEMES
In the second half of 2022, the State Aviation Enterprise of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (SAEMES) of Kyrgyzstan received two new helicopters from Airbus.
In August 2022, Airbus H125 EX-88010 (c/n 9255) was handed over, whereas on 11 December 2022, Airbus H145 EX-88014 (c/n 21077) was taken on charge.
The delivery of the new helicopters signals the revival of the helicopter fleet in use for disaster response in Kyrgyzstan.
For years, the SAEMES had to do without its own aircraft or helicopters. The last Mi-8MTV, registration EX-912 (c/n 96270), a gift from the Russian Federation in 2006, was already retired late 2017, and has been seen in storage at Bishkek-Manas airport since. The Russian Federation has promised to deliver another Mi-8MTV to the SAEMES this year.
Both Airbus helicopters will come to great use in the mountainous geography of Kyrgyzstan, with many places that are hard to reach by road. They are equipped with modern navigation equipment and will come to great use to eliminate the consequences of disasters by reducing the response time to emergency situations all over Kyrgyz territory.
Interestingly, to optimize their use and generate funds for the state, the helicopters have also been made available for commercial use for a set fee by the State Aviation Enterprise.
Scramble Magazine added the overview of the State Aviation Enterprise of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the Air Order of Battle (OrBat) of Kyrgyzstan.
