Pardubice closed for three months
Due to repairs of the main runway and taxiway Bravo, Pardubice airport is closed from 15 February 2023 until 15 May 2023. During the same period, a new ILS/DME precision approach system will be installed.
The locally based Vzdušné síly armády České republiky (CzAF, Czech Air Force) aircraft were transferred to Cáslav and Prerov. Pardubice is the home base for the Centrum Leteckého Výcviku LOM s.p. (CLV, Aviation Training Centre).
The Aero L-39C jet trainers and Zlin 142C-AF basic training aircraft were flown to Cáslav air base. The aircraft, four L-39s (serials 0113, 0441, 0444 and 0448) and six Zlin 142s (serials 0551, 0556, 0557, 0558, 0567 and 0568), left Pardubice on Thursday 9 February.
Five days later, on Tuesday 14 February, the CLV helicopters, five Enstrom 480B-G (serials 0459, 0474, 0484, 0515 and 0516) and two Mi-17s (serials 0828 and 0836), were flown to Prerov. Also, two historic aircraft, a Zlin 381 and a Yak C-11, left Pardubice. Their destination was Kbely.
The only operational LET L-410UVP-T, serial 0928, was left behind at Pardubice as the aircraft is currently being overhauled.
