Peru buys former Spanish Armada Sea Kings
The Marina del Guerra del Perú (MGP, Peruvian Navy) will get six former Armada (Spanish Navy) SH-3H Sea King helicopters for the symbolic amount of €100 a piece.
Originally, Peru obtained four Agusta-Sikorsky AS-61D Sea Kings in 1978 and sourced four second hand UH-3H Sea Kings from the United States Navy in 2009 that were delivered in 2010/11.

The unit, part of Grupo Aeronaval No.1, is based at Lima-Callao/Intl Jorge Chavez and provides anti-submarine, anti-surface and general utility roles from ashore or embarked on the largest ships of the fleet.
