Philippine Air Force C-130H delivered

Nicely captured from a well known location at Coronado Beach is this Hukbong Himpapawid ng Pilipinas (Philippine Air Force) Lockheed C-130H Hercules.

The transporter arrived at NAS North Island (CA) on 14 January 2021 with call sign REACH162.

The former USAF Hercules, serial 87-9284 (construction number 382-5125), was in full Philippine Air Force markings with serial 5125 on its way to the Philippines.

This is one of two C-130Hs stored at the 309th Aircraft Maintenance And Regeneration Group, also known as the Davis Monthan storage boneyard, situated near Tucson (AZ), which have been bought through the Foreign Military Sale (FMS) programme. The identity of the second aircraft is not known to us yet.

The C-130H arrived at Villamor Air Base (Philippines) on 29 January 2021. On Thursday 18 February 2021, the Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) John Law, alongside representatives from the US Embassy in the Philippines’ Joint US Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG), formally handed over the Hercules to the Philippine Air Force.
