Back in November 2020 Pilatus signed a contract with the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) for the delivery of two PC-24s. The QEAF will employ the light jet aircraft for pilot training and VIP transportation. This was revealed in the Pilatus annual results publication on 22 April 2021.
The contract includes a five-year support package with Pilatus providing on-site technical assistance for the aircraft. Scramble assesses the two PC-24s will join the Al Zaeem Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air College at Al Udeid, Qatar.
Pilatus has been doing very well, despite the pandemic. An impressive 129 aircraft have been delivered in 2020. In its annual results publication it specified the delivery of 41 PC-24s, 82 PC-12NGXs and six PC-21s. The PC-12NGX and PC-24 in particular, the latest flagship products, are selling very well.
The 100th PC-24 was handed over to Jetfly at the end of 2020, marking an important milestone in this programme.
