On 22 March 2022, a USAF Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor suffered a landing mishap at Eglin AFB (FL).
Having analysed the photograph that has been circulating, it seems that the nose landing gear collapsed whilst veering off Eglin's runway. Currently, there are no reports of injuries.
Although the F-22A has been damaged, it looks like it is repairable.
More USAF mishap Raptors have been repaired in the past. On 27 Augustus 2018, a ceremony was held in hangar 1635 at Edwards AFB (CA) to celebrate the installation of regenerated F-22A Raptor serial number 91-4006 and in December 2021 Raptor 07-4146, after more than three and half years of hard work by maintenance personnel of the 3rd wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (AK), entered the latest phase after its mishap in April 2018.
