Roll-out first Luftwaffe Super Hercules
In addition to the Scramble Magazine news item on the construction of the first Luftwaffe (GAF, German Air Force) C-130J Super Hercules at Lockheed Martin's facility at Marietta-Dobbins ARB (GA), the transporter was rolled out on 22 July 2021.
The C-130J-30 is the first of six aircraft, three C-130J-30s and three KC-130Js, that will be delivered between the end of this year and 2023 to the GAF and will be based at Base Aérienne 105 (BA105) Evreux/Fauville (France, Normandy) where it will join the new Franco-German Lockheed C-130J Super Hercules squadron.
Curently, German pilots are being trained on the C-130J at Little Rock AFB (AR) and at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
