Roll-out RDAF F-35A Lightning II AP-1

Revealing colours on the first Flyvevåbnet (RDAF, Royal Danish Air Force) F-35A Lightning II, serial L-001 (construction number AP-1), during the roll out at Lockheed Martin's F-35 production line at Fort Worth (TX) early January 2021.

The website of the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) published a video of the roll-out of the first RDAF Lightning II.

Next to the finishing paintjob, the F-35A will face a number of tests before making its first flight.

It is expected that the aircraft will be delivered to the 308th FS at Luke AFB (AZ) in April 2021. The delivery schedule of all 27 ordered F-35As is scheduled for the period 2021 - 2026.
