Royal Thai Air Force elephant walk

On 11 November 2020, at 11:11 hrs LT, 11 Gripens and a Saab 340AEW from the Kong Thap Akat Thai (Royal Thai Air Force) performed an elephant walk at the 7th Wing homebase Surat Thani located 600 km south of Bangkok.

The 4th Air Division/7th Wing operates two squadrons at this air base, 701 Squadron Sharks equipped with the JAS39C/D Gripen and 702 Squadron equipped with the Saab 340 and Saab 340AEW.

The RTAF has twelve JAS39C/D Gripens in it's inventory, of which one aircraft was lost in January 2017.
