Second Bell 505 delivered to Montenegro

The Vojska Crne Gora (VCG, Montenegro Armed Forces) received their second Bell 505 Jet Ranger ‘NXi’. On 12 February 2021, the new Jet Ranger X with serial/construction number 65318 arrived at Golubovci air base near Podgorica, still registered as C-GUPU.

The first Bell 505 arrived in Montenegro on 15 September 2020 and the two helicopters are part of a contract valued at 3,3 million euros. The Jet Rangers will be used for pilot training and light transport.

The contract also contained an option for two more Bell 505s enabling Montenegro to retire the ageing Gazelle helicopters. However, with the change of government late 2020 and Montenegro's financial status, it is very doubtfull if the option will be exercised.
