Second SAR NH90 delivered to Spain

On 3 December 2020, the second Ejército del Aire (EdA, Spanish Air Force) NH90-TTH was delivered to 803 Escuadron. The helicopter, serial HD.29-17/803-17 (#10236, construction number 1426), wil be operated by 803 Escuadron / Ala 48 at Cuatro Vientos just southwest of Madrid.

The Spanish Air Force ordered twelve NH90-TTH (Combat) Search And Rescue to replace the ageing fleet of AS332B/B1 Super Pumas. The twelve helicopters, reported to be designated as MH-90, will al be based at Cuatro Vientos.

The first EdA NH90-TTH was delivered in October 2020.
