SMURD contract for Black Hawks signed

In addition to the Scramble Magazine news item of 14 October 2021 on the selection of the Black Hawk helicopter by the Emergency Rescue Service SMURD (Serviciul Mobil de Urgență, Reanimare și Descarcerare), the Romanian government has now signed the contract with PZL Mielec for the purchase of twelve Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawks.

The contract is valued at 269 million euros and includes training of pilots and technicians. The first deliveries are expected at the end of 2023.
