Swiss Air Force Pilatus PC-21 crash
On 28 November 2023, a Schweizer Luftwaffe (Swiss Air Force) Pilatus PC-21 advanced training aircraft crashed at Emmen Air Base.
The reports indicate that the aircraft, A-105 (c/n 107), was part of a flight of two aircraft returning to Emmen. At around 14:45 hrs LT, the Pilatus suddenly left the runway upon landing and the two pilots decided to eject. Both pilots are safe.
The PC-21 is substantially damaged. It is not yet known whether the aircraft can be repaired. The accident is under investigation and further training flights with the training aircraft are postponed.
