Tactical Air Support gets USAF contract
The Reno (NV) based company proudly announced it has recently been awarded a USAF contract for operations to enhance fighter pilot training at two locations. Tactical Air Support will be flying these Red Air missions using their well known Northrop F-5ATs (Advanced Tiger) to challenge the Air Force’ fifth-generation F-35 fighters.
Tactical Air Support owns an impressive fleet of these upgraded F-5s, which used to fly as F-5E and F-5Fs for the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
The missions will be flown from two bases, Hill AFB (UT) and Eglin AFB (FL). Operations are set to begin in October 2024 with a contract for one year, and four option years, at both bases.
On 17 April 2023, Scramble published an article on Tactical Air Support’s contract for Adversary fighter pilot training with the US Navy.
