WB Bronco 640The Bronco demo team expands

The Belgian/British demonstration team flying North American OV-10 Bronco G-ONAA (c/n 338-3) announced wonderful news on its Facebook page. The second Bronco owned by the team, G-BZGL (c/n 338-11), which had been in deep storage for years, has slowly awakened from its hibernation.

On 22 October 2024 'Golf Lima' did a number of successful engine runs at Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport (Belgium). These testruns followed the in-depth inspection of its two T76 engines by affiliated maintenance company Invicta Aircraft Engineering Ltd. at Manston (UK) this summer. A third engine was inspected, racked up and readied for assembly too. Three more T76s are still waiting in boxes/containers to receive the same treatment.

As revealed on FB, the ultimate goal of the Bronco demo team is demo flying with the pair of Broncos!

The livery of both aircraft reveals that they are former Luftwaffe (German Air Force, GAF) machines. G-ONAA has been flying in full Luftwaffe-colours with its authentic serial 99+18. Currently still in basic Luftwaffe-colours, but without its former serial 99+26, the future livery of G-BZGL has not been revealed yet.

We can hardly wait to see the two Broncos flying in formation!
