The Lask airfield was built in 1957. Lask Air Base houses the 32nd Air Base (Polish: 32. Baza Lotnicza). It is located south of Lask, about 30 km south-west of Lódz. It is one of the two bases where Poland's F-16 fighters are stationed, operated by the 10th Tactical Squadron. A detachment of the US Air Force has been permanently based at Lask since November, 2012. Forward deployed units rotate to the base periodically to conduct training exercises, like C-130 Hercules and F-16.
Although aircraft photography is getting accepted, do not take pictures into the airport!
Lask air Base has a east-west orientated runway. All activities are on the north side. There is a large shelter complex in the northwest corner which is very open and can be seen form the outside.
Lask Air Base is located south of the new highway S8/E67. Take the exit towards Teodory and Aleksandrowek.
Uli Seibicke was standing at Spot 1 and took this shot of a local F-16C showing the possibilities of this spot.
On the other side, shots like this one of a deployed F-16 can be made at spot 3, as shown by Uli Seibicke.
