flynas introduces the Airbus A330
On 20 December 2022, flynas from Saudi Arabia announced it has taken delivery of two Airbus A330-300s. The aircraft are HZ-NE22 (1745) and HZ-NE24 (1607) and are both leased from Avolon. The airline is planning to use its new widebody aircraft for Hajj-flights as well as expanding to new markets.
The addition of the new aircraft is part of flynas' expansion drive, which was approved by its board in March of this year. Today, the airline is operating a fleet of 45 aircraft but has big plans to grow this with another 250 aircraft in the coming years all with the aim to become the Middle-East's largest low-cost airline.
Next to the two A330s, flynas' fleet is consisting of fifteen A320s and 28 A320neos. It has open orders with Airbus for another 59 A320neos as well as ten A321XLRs.
Officially, this is not the first time flynas has been using the Airbus A330. In the past it has (wet-)leased eleven different A330s from various operators to support with the peak in demand for Hajj-flights.
