SKS Airways suspends operations
The New Strait Times is reporting that Malaysian carrier SKS Airways has suspended all operations due to financial difficulties. According to the news outlet, the airline is seeking new investors to relaunch and to fund its expansion plans.
SKS Airways was founded in 2021 and launched flights with two DHC-6-300. The carrier is based at Subang Airport and from there flew to Redang and Tioman Islands. In May 2023, the airline announced it had reached a lease-agreement with Azorra for ten E195-E2s with deliveries to start in 2024. It planned to use the new Embraers on new and more longer distance routes out of Subang.
