Do you have more information on this? It would be the first serial in the 5000 range that is not assigned to an F-35A (or F-35I) since FY 2009.

The USAF database reports F-35A 16-5160 (AF-135) has been noted this month, wearing 15-5160. Does anyone know more about this? FY16 would mean it's a Lot 10 a/c. Was it moved to Lot 9 (FY15)?

I am also "surprised" that the RAF ones are being build so slow..latest one is ZM144 (sofar only 9 build? Regards Frank There are currently 11 F-35Bs for the RAF, ZM135-ZM145. But you're right, not that many yet. Both Israeli 908 and USAF 15-5130 were seen flying at Fort Worth on June 23r...

VMFAT-501 has two F-35Bs, coded VM-23 and VM-28 . Does anyone know their BuNo? I don't believe VMFAT-501 has 28 aircraft, so perhaps their modex is related to their c/n or last two digits of their BuNo. Edit: Seems like 169028 was VM-28 around July 2016 (when the video was uploaded).
