Might I ask what kind of equipment you use? Thanks Guys for all your remarks. I am very pleased with the results too !!! Jochem I used only original Canon equipment. 5D2 bodies with lots of glass. During this trip I used mainly Canon lenses 300 and 500mm of which the latter was bought for this trip.

Near Gifu: BRILLIANT picture Stefan. :worship: This one sums up for me what a visit to Japan is like ; absolute chaos in traffic, buildings, roads, language and people but if you get through it the reward (in the background) ... great photo opportunities of a fantastic Air Force, Army and Navy .......

It seems all these pics were taken at the southside (RWY36) of the base. Is that correct??. Is it also possible to take good pictures at the northside (RWY18) of the base? If so how many mm do you need?? Please help.
