Re: Bucharest International Airshow (BIAS) 26-27 August

Registration for the spotter zone is now live. For non-Romanian citizens, you need to send a copy of passport to plane.spotters@cnab.ro

Appears to offer a dedicated photo zone for serious photographers but I don't know any more than that.

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

Hi all just doing a tidy up of my logs for the year and realise I still need tie ups for the PC-7's that flew in the opening ceremony on the 26th of March. There is a list of the one's that took part in the rehearsals on the 24th but not the 26th. I viewed these from the hotel as I was unable to ent...

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

Back to doing some research tonight. An online news report shows the KA-27 as being on the back of ship number 012 which the reporter said was from the Vietnam Navy. I looked carefully at my photos and realised I'd completely missed the chopper amongst the deck hardware. It was partly covered with ...

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

Thanks. I’d treat it as a show day dress wise according to their FB site. They say the same code applies. Bit of a pain in this heat. Might bring shorts in the bag if they’re not being strict. Suspect it will be the same C-130s shuttling back and forward anyway.

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

Bit of a long shot but can anyone who was at the show today confirm if they are enforcing the no shorts or sandals rule? I complied today for the maritime show and although most locals were in jeans, there were plenty of visitors in shorts.

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

Just checked some other photos and agree on 168534. Fencing and heat haze was blocking part of the 6, making it look like a 5. There was also a heli on ship number 575. In the half open hangar with a guard in front of it. Fan tailed heli ( like an S76).

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

I’ve got 158534 as the rear helicopter (last three digits very clear, reasonably confident on the 5 as well). 616 on nose. Forward one is 167863 - no code visible from the angle. Anyone got any ids on the visiting mil today? Saw several herc movements and what looked like an A400 departing early eve.

Did the same free cruise today. Will need a closer look at my photos but I’m sure I managed to shoot the serials.

Re: LIMA 2019 participants overview & NOTAM

Thanks for the NOTAM. My flight is due to land 40 mins before the closure of airspace on the 27th, so it's going to be cutting it fine!

EDIT: Nope, just checked my flight times - my flight is due to land 5 minutes before the airspace closes!

Thanks Marjin. I had to change camera angles quickly so it looks like I miscalculated the ones at the back.

Re: Radom 25-26 August2018

I was there when bay 3 was opened to move the party tent inside. From the pictures I took quickly, I agree 6605 on left and 6618 on right (as viewed). There was one nose on behind where the party tent ended up and another behind and to the left of 6605. (I missed bay 1 being opened).
